Canadians LOVE the new Lexus UX

I never imagined UX sales to be this good but the numbers show it been a consistent best seller north of the boarder. Haven't seen U.S. sales stats but if this keeps up in Canada I can only imagine it'll hold true to some extent in the U.S. as well.
It came to my surprise seeing how the NX and RX have been favored since release.

Quote:
For the second consecutive month, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI)s luxury Lexus division reported a monthly sales record with 1,448 units sold in February, up 26.4%. Overall, TCIs February sales were up 1.4% compared to last year, with a total of 13,419 units sold. The Toyota division reported sales of 11,971 units, down 1.0% from 2018.

Electrified vehicle sales continue to climb

TCIs hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sales continued to grow in February with a total of 1,387 units sold, up 17.2% compared to last year.

Led by the all new Lexus UX hybrid (221 units), Lexus set a February record with 343 luxury hybrid vehicles sold.

Overall, electrified vehicles represented 10.3% of TCIs February sales.

Additional February Highlights:
  • TCI truck sales of 8,969 units, up 6.2% (new February Record)
  • RAV4 sales of 3,838 units, up 28.4% (new February record)
  • Lexus truck sales of 1,219 units, up 31.5% (new February record)
  • Lexus NX sales of 426 units, up 3.9% (new February record)
  • Lexus UX hybrid sales of 221 units
  • Hybrid electric vehicle sales of 1,387 units, up 17.2%
  • Camry sales of 920 units, up 26.4%
  • ES sales of 103 units, up 56.1%

Was not expecting the UX to outsell every other model in Lexus' lineup, but this proves that interest in crossovers isn't going anywhere. Launching this and the LC with a hybrid variant is the best way for them to future proof new models.

most dependable brand + high demand product = the numbers you see

It still boggles my mind that Acura hasn't jumped on this opportunity with a baby RDX... it could work.
